Double skewers are the way to go, your food won't spin on the skewer...makes for easy flipping.
I bought two sets of these and I am pleased with the quality. They feel solidly constructed and will hold up on the grill for a lifetime. The skewers come out of the base...I think that they are made to do this? Not a problem for me because they go right back into the base with no issues and stay put while cooking. They will become discolored with use and require a bit of elbow grease to restore to looking like new - not an issue for me.
